A Rosebud Remembers

​

In the beginning of August

The flowers in the south-eastern corner of the garden

Decided to have a party

​

They invited the sun

And their closest neighbours

And everybody turned up in their finest

 

There was lots of life to be had

And much living to be done

So a great time was had by all

 

It became a feast of light and joy

A celebration filled with awe and grace

-What a wonderful world! 

And lots of love and loving

 

To be there  

To be of the earth and on it

Was simply heaven

 

And it was still felt in the heart

And remembered as a divine day

Long after autumn had set in
